I have been very disappointed with YouTube and the videos being watched right now, I see screen shots from videos that are not family friendly and borderline pornographic.
Now there is a fix! If you are using firefox, install the firefox adblock plus ad-on
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865
Now you can add the filter, right click, block image (another image), no select the custom button and add:
*active_sharing.swf*
The * are used as wild cards to block any url with that flash script. Now when I load YouTube I don't have to see the videos being watched right now :)
